I started making jewellery as a creative outlet, and for something a little different to do whilst my partner was painting in the evenings in our flat so we could have what we call 'hobby evenings’. It very quickly grew out of being a hobby and I started to gather a few pieces I really loved making and launched Alphea, named after the first home my partner and I shared. I make all the jewellery in our little flat in South London and have taught myself everything I know about silver smithing.

I love making simple, minimalist pieces that can be worn daily and mixed and matched with your other jewellery. I want to make my business as sustainable as possible so I use 100% recycled silver and materials like sea glass and sea pottery which I find washed up on the beach.
